Role: Graduate Sales Account Executive

Salary: Up to £30,000

Located: Sheffield

Hours:- 39 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 & Friday 08:30 – 16:00

The Sales Account Executive will assist the sales growth of the range of products, both for HOME and EXPORT markets, managing a diverse customer group, from end-users to distributors, representatives, key accounts & OEM’s, across a wide industry base including Automotive, Bearing, Precision Engineering as well as a significant number of small engineering companies.

The role:

  • Increase the sales volume and revenue of products with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Work with and expand the current prospect database to generate effective leads & exceed sales targets.
  • Undertake various cold calling exercises to assist in sales pipeline growth – proactive outlook is expected.
  • Actively revisit legacy customers with a view to reactivating business.
  • Seek out and activate new distribution partners to maximise sales potential.
  • Continually review customer performance and ensure each territory achieves the required level of sales to support the overall sales budget, this should include the setting of customer performance targets.
  • Provide pre-sales technical advice, assistance and product education as required.
  • Monitor, record, analyse and report on activity, trends, results and recommendations relating to sales activities.
  • Maintain customer records, and log details of new enquiries within CRM Intranet database.
  • Work with various departmental price lists, discount structures and trading terms to calculate customer selling prices.
  • Provide detailed and technical quotations to customers and manage quotations in the intranet quotation log, ensuring efficient follow up and order forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain strong executive relationships with specific customer accounts, working closely to ensure overall Company sales strategies are implemented.
  • Ensure excellent working relations with inter-departmental staff, partner organisations and external service providers.

The successful candidate:

  • Experience of managing a sales budget and KPI’s.
  • Experience of selling to various sized customer accounts.
  • Previous experience working within a similar role.
  • Some level of commercial knowledge.
  • Prospecting, closing and growing business accounts.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with efficient time and workload management skills.
  • Technically minded.
  • Service driven with first class customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication (both written & verbal) / interpersonal skills to interact successfully at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent Computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Self-confident with the ability to adjust to fast changing business conditions.
  • A good organiser with the ability to manage multiple demands whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Persuasive with good negotiating skills.
  • Result oriented / target driven with proven sales track record.
  • Valid full UK driving license
