Your new companyThis reputable organisation located in Sheffield are seeking a skilled Finance Assistant to join their esteemed team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining all financial operations.

Your new roleThis dynamic and engaging Finance Assistant position involves working closely with the Accounts and Payroll Manager to ensure the seamless operation of the accounts management system. Your responsibilities will include performing bank reconciliations and collecting, verifying, and processing invoices and receipts.

You will play a key role in implementing a purchase order system and supporting the purchase ledger. Additionally, you will assist with invoicing and managing credit control. Part of your duties will involve addressing unreconciled and outstanding items, contributing to the preparation of monthly management accounts, and assisting with year-end financial preparations. You will also provide support for pension management and offer backup assistance for payroll tasks. What you'll need to succeedYou will have experience working in a similar busy Finance Assistant - preferably 2 years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping. You will need strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and addressing client enquiries. Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero, will help you manage tasks efficiently. Additionally, being highly organised and able to prioritise tasks will ensure you meet deadlines and maintain smooth financial operations.
