GSL Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to support students in secondary schools across Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and eager to contribute to students' academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, ensuring they can engage with the curriculum.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Support students with SEN, behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs.
  • Help maintain positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with secondary school-aged students (school settings, tutoring, or youth work).
  • Understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
