We are looking for a qualified Social Work to work in our Leaving Care Service in the Young Refugee Team.

Candidates must have significant frontline statutory experience in social work and experience of working with young refugees would be an advantage with an understanding of age assessments, human rights assessments and an understanding of the trauma young refugees may have experienced before and on their journey to the UK.

The post is 37 hours per week based in Sharrow, Sheffield 7 and candidates will be expected to travel around the city and outside of the city boundary.

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
