Role Overview:

As a Qualified Social Worker in the MASH team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals. You’ll conduct timely assessments, analyze incoming referrals, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure comprehensive support plans. This position is both challenging and rewarding, offering you an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of those most at risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments on incoming referrals within the MASH setting.
  • Analyze information gathered from various agencies to identify levels of risk.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the best course of action to protect and support vulnerable children and families.
  • Work closely with partner agencies, including police, health, education, and housing, to ensure coordinated and effective responses.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with valid registration (SWE registered).
  • Proven experience in child protection, safeguarding, or a similar environment.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and handle high volumes of information.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improving outcomes for children and families.
