UAT Tester
Sheffield - HybridSalary: £31,000
Elevation IT are looking to speak with detail-oriented and experienced UAT Testers on behalf of our Sheffield based client. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, ensuring high-quality software deliveries through functional and user acceptance testing. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform functional testing, focusing on UAT (User Acceptance Testing), ensuring systems and software meet business requirements
- Execute manual testing techniques, including Functional, Regression, Exploratory, Usability Testing, and Defect Management
- Deliver end-to-end test services, from creating test plans to documenting and reporting results
- Manage and coordinate with key stakeholders, including Software Developers, Project Teams, Subject Matter Experts, and Executive Leadership Teams
- Collaborate effectively within Agile and Waterfall project methodologies to ensure testing aligns with project delivery timelines
- Use tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, Selenium, Eclipse, Maven, and SQL for defect tracking, test case management, and test execution
- Perform testing on UI and CMS functionalities, ensuring they meet design and user expectations
- Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with relevant accessibility standards
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in functional testing, with a strong preference for UAT experience
- Strong understanding of manual testing techniques and methodologies, including Functional, Regression, Exploratory, Usability, and Defect Management
- Proficient in using tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, Selenium, Eclipse, Maven, and SQL
- Experience in delivering an end-to-end testing service
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working with developers, project teams, and senior leadership
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies is desirable
- Experience in testing UI and CMS functionality is a plus
- Experience in Accessibility testing is a plus
- An understanding of Data Protection and GDPR is desirable
