Complex Needs Support Assistant.

Veritas Education are currently working with a variety of different Special Schools in Sheffield and the surrounding area, and we are looking for a passionate support assistant to help their students with complex needs.

The role:

  • You will be supporting pupils mainly on a 1:1 basis that have complex needs.
  • You will be helping support the pupil and the teacher with all general day to day activities to ensure the pupil is learning to their full ability.
  • You will provide practical and personal hygiene care support for the pupil.
  • You will be helping the teacher identify and additional needs that the pupil may have and help adapt their daily care and plans to suit their needs.
  • Support the teacher in preparing learning material and help create an exciting and educational learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children or your adults with Complex Needs.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to understand and react to people's reactions and physical emotions.
  • Experience in the care sector or similar is an advantage.
