About the Role: Are you passionate about supporting and making a difference in the lives of children with Special Education needs We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, working directly with children who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This role offers both supply and long-term opportunities within a large and supportive trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with PMLD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver high-quality education and care.
  • Monitor and record studentsā€™ progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, specifically working with children who have PMLD.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and needs associated with PMLD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
