Day-to-day of the role:

As a Special Needs Education Safeguarding Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students. Your responsibilities will include: * Developing and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of our students. * Working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students. * Conducting regular safety assessments and coordinating staff training on safeguarding best practices. * Being proactive in addressing any concerns or issues related to student safety and well-being. * Supporting students directly, offering guidance and assistance to ensure they thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within special needs education, or a role with transferable skills.
  • A strong, confident approach and a passion for going above and beyond for children with special needs.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
