We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team, supporting a range of schools and making a positive impact on students' physical development and education.

Role Overview:As a Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging PE sessions across various schools in Sheffield, covering a range of sports. Additionally, you will act as a cover supervisor when required, stepping into classrooms to support students in the absence of their regular teacher. This dual role offers the opportunity to work with students across different age groups and subjects, ensuring a varied and rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate sports coaching sessions across different schools.
  • Lead PE lessons, after-school clubs, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Act as a cover supervisor in various subjects, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students stay on task with set work.
  • Work with teachers to support the development of students' skills and well being.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Encourage students to participate in physical activities and develop a love for sport.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Monitor and report on students' progress and development.

Requirements:

  • A recognised coaching qualification (Level 2 or above) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage classroom behaviour and engage students.
  • Flexibility to work across various schools in the Sheffield area.
  • A passion for sport, fitness, and working with young people.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable:

  • Experience as a cover supervisor or in a similar educational role.
  • Additional qualifications in first aid or child protection training.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed).
