The Role:

As the Procurement Specialist, you will take charge of sourcing and managing suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials that meet the company’s high-quality standards. You will also be responsible for driving efficiencies, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and production needs
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating terms, contracts, and reviewing performance
  • Identify and source new suppliers to improve quality, reduce costs, and ensure continuous supply
  • Work closely with the production and supply chain teams to maintain stock levels and forecast future requirements
  • Stay updated on market trends and innovations to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and ethical standards in all procurement activities

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, cost-saving techniques, and supplier sourcing
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) is beneficial but not essential
