Position Overview: MIG Welder / Vehicle Builder
Our client, a renowned commercial vehicle manufacturer, is looking to expand their team with an experienced MIG Welder / Vehicle Builder. This is a temporary role with the opportunity for permanent placement after 12 weeks. The role is based in Sheffield, and candidates from the local area are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture and assemble bespoke vehicle bodywork, including tippers, plant vehicles, and tPEUs.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform MIG welding tasks and fit various vehicle body components.
- Use a variety of welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure deadlines and customer requirements are met.
What's in it for you?
- Competitive hourly rate (doe): £12.50 - £16 per hour (DOE)
- Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Paid breaks
- Overtime available (weekdays & weekends, optional)
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays

- Opportunity for permanent contract after 12 weeks
What We're Looking For:
- MIG welding experience
- Background in vehicle body building
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A UK Driver's Licence is essential; an HGV Licence would be a significant advantage
