  • Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a TIG Welder for an Aerospace business in the Sheffield area.
  • The position offers a pay rate of £18.87 per hour with working hours from Monday to Friday, either 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm.

  • Applicants are preferred to have an NVQ or qualification in an engineering discipline, and experience with semi-automated welding is also desirable.

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working in partnership with an Aerospace business based within the Sheffield area.They currently have a rare opportunity for a TIG Welder to join their existing team.PAY:£18.87phHOURS:Current hours of work are Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pmCompany benefits:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct weld inspection operations to customer drawings.
  • Conduct TIG welding as and when required.
  • Conduct weld repairs as and when required.
  • Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer as well as internal standards and specifications (NADCAP and AS9100 standards)
  • Interpret drawings.
  • Work meticulously to work instructions and procedures
  • Keep equipment operational by completing autonomous maintenance requirements
  • Provide feedback on production issues as and when they arise
  • Know and understand company and department policies and safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.
  • Work on semi-automated welding equipment for both Circumferential and Longitudinal welds.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • NVQ/qualification in Engineering discipline - Desirable
  • Proven track record in welding - Essential
  • Must be able to work from 0.7-3ml 
  • Have experience with exotic alloys 
  • Aerospace experience – Desirable
  • Experience with semi-automated Welding - Desirable
