Talent-UK are delighted to be working exclusively with our client based In West Yorkshire. Our client is a well-established organisation who specialise in IT & Telecomms.

Due to growth our client is now looking to recruit a full time Support Desk Engineer to work Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm. This is a hybrid role 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. On call is required 1 in 5 with an additional payment. Their current calls out of hours is approximately 1 call per month.

The role

  • Logging Support cases with the appropriate priority and category.
  • Provide incident management appropriate to the priority of cases, with resolution of 1st and 2nd line support queries.
  • Ensuring all SLA’s are met within set parameters.
  • Assist the installation engineers with pre and post installation support during the customers warranty period. This may include programming routers, and handsets as well as basic user and routing configuration on systems

Essential requirements

  • Currently working for an MSP covering IT/Teclo,Used to administering,Windows server 2022/2019,Active Directory,Microsoft 365
  • Hyper-V,Experience in troubleshooting internet connections and routers and raising tickets to the network if required,Experience with administration/ fault diagnosis of Hosted phone systems such as 3CX, 8x8, callswitch, Gamma Horizon.Previous proven experience within a telecoms support role or related experience.
  • Knowledge of key systems such as Avaya IP Office, 8x8 and 3CX.
  • Experience in dealing with different types of internet connectivity such as leased lines, FTTP and SOGEA.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A keen interest in technology and a desire to learn and progress

  • Loyal and enthusiastic Team player
  • Proactive with a desire to learn and develop new skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and customers

Desirable

  • Exposure to Networking and Firewalls, with the ability to carry out change requests and initial 1st/2nd line support
  • 1st line IT support experience
  • MS Teams exposure, particularly around Teams Telephony
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365
