Do you have excellent import/export experience paired with great knowledge of the air, road and sea freight fields?

I am recruiting for an experienced Operations Executive for a repeat client in the Shepperton area. My client specialises in international freight forwarding and is looking to grow their freight team. The successful candidate will learn all aspects of freight forwarding and deliver excellent operational service. This is an office-based, Monday-Friday role, working from 9am-5:30pm.

Main Duties:

  • Arrange and oversee export, import, and UK domestic operations from start to finish, whether by air, sea or road.
  • Investigate and plan the most appropriate routes for shipments.
  • Complete international shipping and customs documentation.
  • Handle costing and billing for both import and export jobs.
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations.
  • Maintain communication and control through all phases of the journey.
  • Collaborate closely with customers, colleagues, and third parties to ensure deadlines are met.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong import/export experience
  • Customs clearance knowledge 
  • Multi-modal freight experience (air, road and sea ideally)
  • Experience using Boxtop or CargoWise (or similar)
  • Computer literate (MS Office, emails, CRM)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and analytical skills.
