Salary: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Office-based in Sherborne
Contract: Full-time, with the potential to become permanent
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to support the finance team in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for accuracy in financial processes.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing – Verify, code, and match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- VAT & Payments – Accurately calculate VAT payments and process BACS payments promptly.
- Statement Reconciliation – Reconcile supplier statements and delivery notes, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Expense Management – Process business and staff expense returns with precision.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous background in a busy finance team with purchase ledger experience.
- Skills: Strong numerical ability, attention to detail, and accuracy in handling large volumes of data.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
DBS Requirement: Current Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to apply for one.
