We're looking for a skilled Management Accountant to join their finance team and take the lead on financial reporting, performance analysis, and business partnering. You'll be at the core of their financial operations, helping drive smarter decisions, improve efficiency, and support sustainable growth.This is a hands-on role with real influence - ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with leadership, making recommendations, and turning financial data into meaningful action.This role comes with an annual salary of up to £45,000.00.Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financials.
  • Prepare comprehensive management accounts, delivering key insights to senior leaders.
  • Oversee reconciliations and ensure that balance sheet items are monitored and maintained.
  • Support long-term planning by contributing to forecasting and annual budgeting cycles.
  • Analyse financial performance and deliver clear, concise variance commentary and recommendations.
  • Identify and suggest cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains.
  • Build strong relationships across departments, offering financial support and commercial advice.
  • Help demystify finance by clearly explaining figures to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Review and refine our internal financial systems and policies for better effectiveness.
  • Help assess and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the business.
  • Play an active role in coaching junior finance team members, sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Assist with audit and tax matters, ensuring compliance and best practice.

Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance or accounting role.Qualified, part-qualified or QBE.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and how to apply them commercially.
  • Confident communicator who can simplify complex data.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and a knack for spotting trends in data.
  • Highly organised, with a sharp attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
