Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with one of our longstanding clients as they look to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant:

  • Involved in the month-end close process, ensuring timely & accurate internal reporting for specific Business Units (to be decided). In the future this will spread across all business units and will be part of the Change project.
  • Responsible for specific Balance sheet reconciliations and management and that all balances are correct and differences investigated
  • Conducting detailed monthly variance analysis to understand drivers and input into the production of the monthly Finance board pack
  • Be a senior, vocal part of the reporting team, helping to lead and manage the team, setting performance expectations, providing feedback, direction and coaching.
  • Improve Finance process efficiency and controls through automation and optimising usage of systems
  • Involvement in all regulatory submissions including HMRC returns and payments
  • Significant involvement in year-end audit preparation and liaising with auditors
  • Providing additional financial information to the business as needed and completing ad-hoc financial and business projects as agreed with the Senior Finance Manager or Group Financial Controller

Experience Required: 

  • Ideally Part-Qualified with 1-3 years exerperience
  • Working in a similar position with reporting experience
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Problem solving and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task & prioritise daily tasks to meet deadlines
  • Take ownerships for providing solutions
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Very good proficiency in excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft NAV – preferable but not essential
  • Knowledge of BI reporting – preferable but not essential
