The Walk in Bath Co are a rapidly expanding specialist bathroom installer. We install walk in baths and walk in showers for people with mobility issues. We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our Head Office based in Baildon, Shipley.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will oversee all financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing strategic financial guidance to support the companys objectives. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in financial management and a passion for improving the lives of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial performance.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Coordinate and work alongside external accountants and tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and achieve company goals.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AAT (or equivalent) qualification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a manufacturing or installation services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Experience with Sage Line 50 essential.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred skills
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry Tax Scheme
