Quality Engineer responsibilities include -
- Act as quality contact for customers, handling orders, drawings, and approvals.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Lead audits and manage corrective actions for identified issues.
- Update quality procedures and drive process improvements.
- Refine root cause analysis to improve the Quality Management System.
- Manage quality metrics and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Work with teams to reduce scrap, rework, and improve product quality.
Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience -
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of QMS such as ISO 9001, AS 9100, or IATF 16949.
- Able to use core tools such as 8D, PPAP, and Control Plans.
- Confident in providing day-to-day customer support.
- Mechanical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.
