Senior Freight Forwarder

Our family run Freight Forwarding client based in Shipley are growing and looking for a Senior Freight Forwarder to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent service to customers and clients.

Upto 30,000.

This is a fully office-based role with free onsite parking.

Your role-

• Maintain accuracy in all data records across multiple systems, ensuring that information is up-to-date.
• Achieve and exceed agreed productivity levels.
• Coordinate sea freight shipments globally.
• Handle customer enquiries via phone and email, ensuring clear communication and resolution.
• Obtain pricing information, provide accurate quotes, and assist customers with service enquiries.
• Process customer bookings, input data into specialist systems.
• Check and send customer documentation, including producing bills of lading.
• Liaise with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and agents to coordinate logistics and service delivery.
• Verify and send customer documentation in a timely manner.
• Engage in networking and research to stay ahead of market trends and competition.
• Exceed customers' expectations in terms of quality, service, and pricing.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods.
• Always demonstrate companies' values.

About you-

• Previous experience in freight/logistics is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Problem-solving mindset.
