Location: Shoreham (Offices available in Fareham, also)
Pay rate: £35,000 - £40,000 basic per annum (based on skill set/experience) + car allowance

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable IT Business Development Manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with IT leaders, understand the ever-evolving IT landscape, and drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding our client base.
Role Overview:
The IT Business Development Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers in the IT sector. This individual will leverage their in-depth product knowledge of the IT industry-spanning hardware, software, IT infrastructure, and other IT solutions-to generate new business, foster long-term partnerships, and support our sales efforts. The ideal candidate is someone who can hold conversations with IT leaders, understand the technical needs of the business, and contribute to our strategic vision for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Sales: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the IT sector, focusing on hardware, software, IT infrastructure, and other IT-related products and services.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with IT leaders, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
- Consultative Selling: Engage with potential clients to understand their specific business and IT challenges, and present tailored solutions that meet their needs.
- Product Knowledge: Stay current with trends and advancements in the IT industry to have informed discussions about products, services, and solutions.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective business development strategies, including prospecting, outreach, and closing deals.
- Market Research: Analyse the competitive landscape, market trends, and emerging technologies to identify new growth areas for the business.
- Sales Reporting & CRM Management: Track and report on sales performance, key metrics, and customer feedback in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the IT industry, preferably with knowledge of hardware, software, or IT infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of the IT landscape, including key products, technologies, and industry trends.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior IT leaders and other stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business-friendly solutions.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in consultative selling.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to generating leads and closing sales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales reporting tools.
