We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QHSE Compliance Engineer to be responsible for supporting all Quality, Health, Safety and Environment programs in this engineering and manufacturing business by implementing policies, conducting audits, reviewing processes, managing records and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Each department is responsible their own, Risk Assessments, SFMEA, SSoW etc. this is very much a support position to the business through the deployment of systems and process updates and training programmes, using your strong understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001, and, ideally, previous experience with a manufacturer of ATEX and/or IEC Ex products which includes maintenance of a QAN and/or QAR.

Knowledge of CE marking and creation of CE technical construction files would be beneficial.

As well as holding responsibility for the day to day QHSE activities, which you would expect in such a position, you will:

  • Carry out Non-Conformance (internal and external) processes to address Interim Corrective Action and drive effective long term corrective actions with the relevant department managers.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on QHSE topics. Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in ensuring supplier quality performance
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances. Develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular company safety, environmental statistics and monthly reports.
  • Support the activities within the internal test facility and external 3rd party service providers to ensure product validations are performed as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or HND in an engineering or science-based program; with a solid understanding of engineering principles
  • Proven prior success in Quality Management System coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with external partners and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with experience in managing multiple QHSE activities simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
  • Strong project management skills.

The salary range for this role is £48,000 to £54,000 with 25 days holiday and the option to purchase an additional 10 days of holiday, health cash plan, 5% employer pension contribution, life assurance, employee assistance programme plus a range of other benefits and wellbeing initiatives.
