Pastoral Manager - Full Time Maternity Cover

A SEN provision based in Erdington are looking to appoint an outstanding and passionate Pastoral Support Manager who will lead and develop the school's pastoral provision. They are looking to recruit for maternity cover, cover period would be a minimum 2 terms which may be extended depending on the staff member's period of maternity cover.

Role Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be a motivated and caring individual who is able to provide pastoral support for our students. The role works closely with vulnerable pupils to overcome barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential.
  • The successful candidate will be will be able to demonstrate a range of disciplines to support teaching staff and the SENCO in the development and education of children in need.
  • The role will work alongside the SENCO and SLT in identifying pupils who need additional nurture and support and then to deliver high quality intervention both inside and outside the classroom environment.
  • The Pastoral Support Manager will be the first point of contact for parents who have concerns and will work with a wide range of stakeholders and outside agencies to improve attendance, behaviour and educational outcomes.
