Financial Reporting and Taxation Assistant

Your new companyHays are working exclusively with a prestigious Public Sector organisation in Shropshire who are looking for a Financial Reporting & Taxation Assistant to join their teamYour new roleYou will be responsible for the day to day elements of Financial accounting, treasury management and asset management as well as supporting the Head of Financial Accounting with VAT and tax requirements. Duties will include

• Bank reconciliations for multiple banks
• Treasury management
• VAT returns
• General ledger
• Fixed asset management
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Preparation work and support for taxation

What you'll need to succeedThis role is aimed at an AAT Qualified or recently started ACCA or equivalent level candidate with the aim of supporting you to complete your ACCA Qualification. Ideally, you will have experience of Accountancy and general control account reconciliations including bank, tax and VAT and use of financial systemsYou should have a keen eye for detail, be a strong communicator and the ability to work well within a teamWhat you'll get in returnThis is a superb opportunity to work for a prestigious business who can offer a training contract for your studies along with the support on a daily basis for you to develop and progress within the role.
