Job Title:Technical Trainer – Apprentice ProgrammeSalary:£30,000 - £36,000 per annumHours:40 hours per weekLocation:ShrewsburyJob Description:Our Client is currently seeking a Technical Trainer to join their team and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training to automotive apprentices. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional to transition from hands-on work to sharing their expertise and mentoring the next generation of automotive technicians.This role involves delivering technical knowledge, skills, and behaviours to apprentices, ensuring they successfully complete their Apprenticeship Standard. You’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting learners through their journey, helping them develop both professionally and personally.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver practical and theoretical training in line with the Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to apprentices to help them reach their full potential.
  • Assess and evaluate apprentice work, offering constructive feedback to aid improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and managers to ensure effective coordination between on-the-job and off-the-job training.
  • Maintain and update training materials to reflect industry advancements.
  • Ensure a safe and organised training environment.
  • Support apprentices with embedded maths and English where needed.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to prioritise the well-being of learners.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits, including Ofsted inspections.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Strong occupational experience in the automotive sector.
  • A passion for mentoring and training others.
  • A recognised teaching qualification is beneficial, but full training and a paid teaching qualification will be provided.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
  • First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to work within safeguarding and compliance frameworks.
