Credit Controller | 1-Year Interim Contract | Onsite | Shrewsbury | Circa £30,000
Seymour John are proud to be working with a Shrewsbury-based client who is looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on an interim 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business and play a key role in managing their credit control function. The role is fully onsite, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and reducing aged debt to improve cash flow
- Chasing overdue payments via phone, email, and written communication
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers to resolve payment issues
- Processing and reconciling sales ledger transactions
- Reviewing customer credit limits and assessing risk
- Preparing credit reports and statements for management
- Supporting the finance team with general accounting and administrative tasks
Who We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive and results-driven approach to work
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
