Sonic Summary

This position is for a Finance Manager in a family-owned business, responsible for overseeing the entire finance function and managing a team of two.
The role involves business partnering with other departments and presenting financial reports to the board to enhance business performance and growth.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Shrewsbury, offering a salary between £80,000 and £90,000 per annum.
Candidates must be fully qualified with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or construction sectors.
The position allows for hybrid working, requiring 3-4 days in the office per week, and part-time applicants are also considered with a minimum of 3 days.

Joining a dynamic family-owned business, as the No 1 in Finance, you will be strategically responsible for developing & overseeing the entire finance function, implementing policies & procedures, along with managing a small team.

Also business partnering with the other departments & presenting to the board to drive business performance & growth.

Must be fully qualified.

Experience in manufacturing, engineering or construction is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

Whole finance function, overseeing financial reporting & forecasting, AR, AP, compliance & cashflow
Supporting the MD in setting & delivering business strategy
Monthly management accounts
Preparing the budget, driving improved profitability
Liaise with external accountants for annual financial statements
Present monthly financial report to the Board
Financial analysis, performance analysis & variance analysis
Cashflow & liquidity, developing strategies to optimize
Stock-take
Financial risk evaluation
Manage team of 2
