KM Recruitment is seeking a Childcare Assessor/Trainer based in Shropshire, offering a salary of up to £30,000 depending on skills and experience.
The role requires candidates to hold a recognised Assessor award and a Level 3 Teaching qualification, along with at least 2 years of occupational competency in Residential or Early Years Childcare.
Candidates must also have a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and a full, clean UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle.
The position involves assessing and supporting learners working towards Apprenticeships, delivering engaging sessions both online and in-person, and managing learners' progress documentation.

Hold a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
Hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET etc.)
Must have experience of delivering full Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare and/or Early Years Childcare.
Hold a minimum of 2 years’ occupational competency as within Residential Childcare and/or Early Years.
Must hold a Level 3 in Childcare (Residential / Early Years).
Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Must be flexible with travel.

Duties include:

Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare and/or Residential Childcare (depending on competency).
Plan and deliver engaging sessions both online and face to face with learners.
Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
Support, advise and motivate learners.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
