Venn Group is seeking an experienced Technical Author for a long-term contract in Shropshire, requiring a flexible hybrid work style.
The role offers an hourly rate dependent on experience and is classified as outside IR35.
Candidates must have multiple years of experience in technical authoring, specifically with AESP and Def Stan 00-601 Part 4 standards.
Familiarity with authoring tools such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Products, along with a very high attention to detail, is essential.
Candidates with military, defense, or nuclear experience, as well as an engineering background, are preferred.

Brief summary of the role

Our client is searching for an experienced Technical Author with a security clearance to commute to Shropshire on a hybrid base to fill a long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Work independently and collect relevant information for AESP publications production
Upload specific information to Portal for remote access
Represent the company onsite Professionally

Skillset/experience required:

Multiple Years Experience Technical Authoring
Experienced in authoring to AESP and Def Stan 00-601 Part 4
Experienced in Simplified English
Familiarity Authoring tools Microsoft Office, Adobe Products
Land Based Army Equipment Experience
Very High attention to detail
Flexibility regarding work Style

Skillset/experience Desirable:

Military/Defence/Nuclear Experience
Engineering background
