Senior Hydrogeologist/Hydrologist

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist/Hydrologist to oversee hydrogeological and environmental aspects of ongoing projects across the UK. This role presents an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a wide range of challenging hydrogeological projects and offers strong potential for career growth for a motivated and driven individual. The successful candidate will be based in our Midlands offices (Derby, Shrewsbury, Redditch, and central Birmingham) and will provide support for both domestic and international projects. You will be responsible for mentoring team members and leading project delivery, with three days per week spent in the office.

Skills
  • Extensive post-graduate experience in hydrogeology or hydrology
  • Knowledge of the regulatory, business, and policy landscape in the UK
  • Expertise in sustainable abstraction projects
  • Experience in National Environmental Programmes, Environmental Destinations, and Sustainable Abstraction
  • Proficiency in site activities, factual and interpretative reporting, data management, analysis, and presentation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and presentation abilities
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
  • Mentoring experience with junior staff
  • Strong client communication skills
Software/Tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Experience with data analysis and presentation tools relevant to hydrogeology
Certifications & Standards
  • MSc or PhD in Hydrogeology or related field
  • Chartership or a strong commitment to obtaining chartership (essential)
