Role: Junior Maintenance EngineerLocation: Shrewsbury Type: PermanentHours: Days, any 5/7 days Do you have an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations and looking to start your career in a company that values your development?Russell Taylor has an excellent opportunity to step into a Junior Maintenance Engineer role in a food manufacturing environment!As a Junior Engineer, you will assist in maintaining and improving the efficiency and reliability of production equipment and machinery. The Role:
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of food production machinery and equipment, including conveyor systems, packaging machines, and processing equipment.
  • Quickly and accurately diagnose faults and breakdowns in both mechanical and electrical systems, working to minimise downtime and disruption to production.
  • Work alongside the production team to ensure that all equipment runs at optimal efficiency, while adhering to food safety and health regulations.
  • Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
The candidate:
  • Hold a NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (essential)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting equipment, and operating tools.
  • Welding experience or 18th edition would be advantageous
  • Previous experience working in a production environment
