- Perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of food production machinery and equipment, including conveyor systems, packaging machines, and processing equipment.
- Quickly and accurately diagnose faults and breakdowns in both mechanical and electrical systems, working to minimise downtime and disruption to production.
- Work alongside the production team to ensure that all equipment runs at optimal efficiency, while adhering to food safety and health regulations.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Hold a NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (essential)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting equipment, and operating tools.
- Welding experience or 18th edition would be advantageous
- Previous experience working in a production environment
