ABC Teachers is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to become part of a dynamic SEND school located in the heart of Shrewsbury.
Role Overview
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students' individual learning needs, both one-on-one and in small groups. Your main objective will be to create a nurturing, student-focused learning environment that promotes independence and success for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support that meets the diverse needs of students.
- Help maintain an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere, empowering students to achieve their best.
- Support the delivery of classroom activities, ensuring that each student’s educational goals are addressed.
- Full-time, ongoing roles are available with immediate starts, as well as positions for a October 2024 start.

About You
To be considered for this Learning Support Assistant role, you should:
- Be capable of building strong relationships with students, encouraging a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Have prior experience working with children or young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Demonstrate excellent communication and behavior management skills.
- Be able to provide appropriate references and pass a DBS check.
