We are currently recruiting for support workers for a NHS mental health hospital based in Shrewsbury. Supporting adults 18+ with mental health conditions.

Your role will be to ensure the residents are able to live as independent a life as possible by assisting with their every day lives when needed.

You will need to be flexible with shifts.

Shift patterns are:

  • 07:00 - 20:30
  • 07:00 - 15:00
  • 07:45 - 15:45
  • 09:00 - 17:00
  • 12:00 - 20:00
  • 12:30 - 20:30

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with mental health
  • DBS on update service (Desirable)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Good at problem-solving and ability to make quick decisions
  • Immunisations

  • MMR
  • Tuberculosis (TB)
  • Hep B
  • Varicella (Chicken pox)


Key Responsibilities

  • Encourage New skill development
  • Attending appointments
  • Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks
  • Measure and record patients vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
