Location: Shrewsbury, ShropshirePosition Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions AvailableStart Date: ASAP - DBS and reference dependant Aspire are seeking compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a SEN school in Shrewsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with special educational needs, helping them thrive in an inclusive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, including those with autism (ASD), ADHD, or other learning and emotional needs.* Assist the teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual learning goals.* Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment, encouraging student engagement and confidence.* Help manage behaviour in line with school policies and promote the well-being of all students.* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).Essential Requirements:* Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN or educational setting.* MUSY HAVE 6 MONTHS + UK EXPERINCE* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.* Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic school environment.Desirable Skills and Qualifications:* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent.* Experience supporting students with SEN in a school environment.* Knowledge of de-escalation techniques or strategies for managing challenging behaviour.* Additional training, such as Team Teach or Makaton, is advantageous.What We Offer:* A welcoming and inclusive school community.* Opportunities for professional development and training.* Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.* The chance to make a real difference in the lives of students with SEN.How to Apply:If you are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and meet the above criteria, we would love to hear from you.
