Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity?

A leading multi-disciplinary design & build contractor is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyorto join their team at Hinkley Point C in Somerset on a permanent staff basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to contribute to one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, delivering Mechanical and Electrical Fabrication and Installation contracts within the turbine hall of the Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build.

Key Responsibilities: Quantity Surveyor

Ensure the Construction team achieves best value outcomes to meet company commercial targets.
Adhere to contractual processes and company commercial governance.
Apply significant commercial experience with NEC and FIDIC suite of contracts.
Produce and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms for the business.
Prepare monthly site valuation and work progress reports.
Evaluate and prepare project payment applications.
Verify subcontractor monthly claims and conduct site measurements.
Ensure pricing documents, BQ, contract documents, and quotation submissions are accurate and in order.
Costing and preparation of pricing documents for submissions.
Monitor and control project budgets, cash flow, and forecasting.
Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to support senior team reporting.
Support Head Office in purchasing compliant materials and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Key Skills & Experience Required: Quantity Surveyor

Strong commercial focus.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on large projects.
Experience with FIDIC and NEC contracts.
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a relevant field.
Chartered status or working towards Chartership.
Nuclear experience preferred but not essential.
CSCS MAPS H&S Test certification.
