We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Careers Advisor to join a post 16 education establishment on a temporary term time only basis. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to our post-16 students, helping them navigate their career options and make informed decisions about their futures.

Careers Advisor

  • Location: South East London
  • Start Date: After half term
  • Duration: Temporary ongoing ( term time only )
  • Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (4 days per week)

Key Responsibilities for the IAG Advisor :

  • Provide one-on-one career support to students
  • Assist students with job applications, CV writing, and interview preparation
  • Organize and conduct career workshops and events
  • Liaise with local employers and educational institutions to create opportunities for students
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour market trends and educational pathways

Qualifications and Skills required for the Careers Advisor role :

  • Proven experience as a Careers Advisor or in a similar role
  • To hold a recognised IAG qualification level 4 or DIPCG
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of current career trends and job market information
  • Relevant qualifications in career guidance
