Lift Engineer

£45,000 - £60,000

The successful candidate will need to have experience working with all types of lifts and controller manufactures, as well as the ability to think critically and creatively. A qualification of NVQ3 as a minimum is required from all applicants.

Our clients repair team and company technicians operating daily within our London/local county client base we do carry out support works repairs/callouts/technical/consultant reports for one of the largest UK foods stores, that has been a client for 18-years.

Normal working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. 8am 8am when on the call Rota at the weekends. 5pm 8am when on the call Rota on weekdays. this comes with a standby fee plus any overtime worked. Overtime is at a rate of time and a half.

Pension

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a wide lift knowledge and have a current UK driving licence. Previous experience within the Lift Industry is essential and pay is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

Person specification:

To be customer focused with the ability to always maintain a professional attitude.

To provide good organisational skills and to prioritise required tasks.

To self-motivate and attend company training as available.

Hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to travel.

Qualifications/Experience:

Qualified to or above NVQ3 (or equivalent) in Engineering Maintenance (Lift Servicing)

Mechanical/electrical experience and/or a relevant engineering or electrical qualifications.

Expectations:

Job sheets to be completed by the end the working day, latest mid next morning, with urgent jobs discussed with the office or relayed with the out of hours office if the engineer needs rest time.

Night call rota is expected as part of any field base engineer and is paid on top of their salary and has a standby element and paid per callout, but is at a low manageable block that has been successfully design run for number years, successful candidates will be supplied the rota upfront normally dates plotted 1-2 months in advance so the engineers are expected to swap cover with their colleagues as they need too.

To become part of the working team and make sure his/her actions are not reducing the company client expectations by poor level of service.

Benefits

The role will be best suited to engineers with a service and call out background with some minor repairs when required.

Ranging from £35,000 - £50,000 - Salaries will be worked out individually to include routed areas are being re-gigged to give all local working routes, even new starters within the company.
