The salary for this role is 65k - 75k.
Skills needed in the Quantity Surveyor role:
- Experience of a variation of construction projects within both the private and public sectors
- Proven knowledge of all aspects of Quantity Surveying and both pre and post contract related actions
- Ideally a minimum of 7 years of experience in a consultancy environment
- Professional Member of the RICS or be close to achieving Chartered status
- Proven experience of delivering projects on a time scale and budget
- Should be familiar with Excel spreadsheets and other standard Windows applications
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor role:
- Review procurement strategy and advise the best solution for contract form, cost certainty, flexibility and timescales
- Monitor design development and track commercial impact on agreed budget precedent
- Understand the Client's aspirations, establish the Project Brief and decide the best implementation strategy
- Prepare feasibility stage reports confirming likely expenditure, optional costs & anticipated programme
- Produce tender documentation for design information, confirming tender lists and responding to queries
- Providing advice / technical support to the rest of the team and the Company on an ad hoc basis
