About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Wind Tunnel Operations Engineer to join a high-performance motorsport team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the operation, maintenance, and development of a cutting-edge wind tunnel facility, supporting aerodynamic development programs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the wind tunnel.

  • Maintain and calibrate tunnel systems, equipment, and instrumentation.

  • Conduct routine checks and ensure accurate data logging.

  • Assemble, operate, and maintain test rigs, including R&D systems.

  • Diagnose, install, and repair electrical and electronic systems on the wind tunnel model and test rigs.

  • Assist with stock control and spares inventory management.

  • Continuously improve testing methods, procedures, and tools to enhance aerodynamic performance.

  • Report on tunnel efficiency and contribute to operational improvements.

  • Support mechanical and electrical assemblies for testing activities.

  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues on wind tunnel operations.

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with industry standards.


About You
  • Experience in wind tunnel operations, ideally within motorsport or aerospace.

  • Strong understanding of instrumentation, calibration, and data acquisition.

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and professional approach to work.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
