I am seeking an experienced Events Manager with special events experience, preferably within a fundraising environment. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in event management, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, organise, and manage all aspects of events, ensuring they are executed flawlessly.
  • Create a special events strategy with the support of the Director of Communications
  • Lead the special events team
  • Manage budgets meticulously, including writing and forecasting income and expenditure.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook to coordinate and streamline event planning and communication.
  • Stay informed about the special events landscape, including sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Travel to event locations as needed, using own vehicle or reliable transport arrangements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience in a special events management role, preferably within a fundraising environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and proficiency in project management.
  • Experience in budget management, including writing and forecasting income and expenditure.
  • Understanding of the Code of Practice and GDPR.
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use, or access to reliable transport arrangements.
