Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Sittingbourne Area

Reed Finance is seeking a skilled Finance Manager for our client in the Sittingbourne area. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the financial operations and manage a dedicated finance team.

Role Summary:

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day financial transactions, regular financial reporting, and the management of the Finance team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage cashbook postings, intercompany and third-party recharge processing, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee coding and input of invoices, and manage payment runs.
  • Ensure effective cashflow management to meet short and medium-term obligations.
  • Lead the annual year-end audit process.
  • Act as Finance "Super User" for the Prophet ERP system and Qlik Business Intelligence tool.
  • Produce weekly Finance Pack and monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Collaborate on long-term business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Maintain rate cards for customers through costings and price publication.
  • Develop and distribute key performance indicators (KPIs) across the business.
  • Manage and develop the Finance team.
  • Assist senior management with financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ACA, ACMA, or ACCA Qualified Accountant.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably in Production or Manufacturing.
  • Experience with profit and loss accounts, cashflow, and management accounts.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to meet challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and strong relationship-building skills.
