About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our team as a Deputy Technical Manager. In this role, you will deputise for the Technical Manager, providing essential support to ensure the continuous improvement of our manufacturing process and quality systems, while stepping in as needed to oversee operations.

Key Responsibilities of Assistant Technical Manager:

    • Deputise for the Technical Manager, supporting their responsibilities and stepping in during absences as required.
    • Assist in the continuous improvement of product safety, quality systems, and documentation, ensuring compliance with customer and third-party audit standards.
    • Support the implementation and improvement of Quality and Safety policies and procedures, keeping them up to date and ensuring full business adherence.
    • Conduct customer standards/code of practice gap analyses and identify internal standard gaps within business operations.
    • Support with updating internal procedures and policies to meet customer standards and align with current food legislation.
    • Monitor and assist with BRCGS Food Safety compliance.
    • Conduct and update Risk Assessments.
    • Assist in the checking and approval of artwork.
    • Lead and manage project work as directed by the Technical Manager.
    • Carry out process audits to verify output and ensure consistency.
    • Contribute to customer and third-party audits, ensuring compliance with quality management procedures related to safety and culture.
    • Conduct internal audits, addressing non-conformances promptly.
    • Deputise for the Technical Manager in their absence, including handling incident/crisis management when necessary.
    • Carry out any reasonable management requests as needed to meet business requirements

The Successful Assistant Techncial Manager Candidate Will Have:

  • Degree qualified in a related subject 
  • FMCG Manufacturing B/G
  • A strong understanding of BRCGS and multiple retailer standards.
