BSL Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Temp to Perm - Swale

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with BSL Level 2? We are seeking an experienced professional to support students with profound, severe, and complex needs in a specialist school setting.

About the Role:
  • Provide tailored support to students with additional communication needs.

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to enhance student engagement and learning.

  • Use BSL to facilitate communication and learning in a specialist school setting.

  • Support the well-being, safety, and development of students aged 4-19.

About You:
  • BSL Level 2 qualification (essential).
  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with communication challenges.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to an hour to work.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is advantageous.
  • Ability to provide personal care support, including toileting and feeding, as needed.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive approach.
  • Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and obtain clearances.
  • Hold, or be willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the update service.
