Quality Inspector - Company Overview

Our client is a leading Engineering company who are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure their products meet the highest possible standards.

As Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring all products comply with company and client specifications and quality standards.

Quality Inspector - Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive inspections in accordance with engineering drawings.
Use precision instruments such as micrometres, Vernier callipers, dial test indicators, height gauges, and CMMs for accurate measurements.
Locate datums on parts and measure dimensions including angles and arcs, using aids like parallel bars, gauge blocks, V-blocks, sine bars, and digital height gauges.
Compare castings to assess manufacturing variations.
Report quality issues or findings to the Quality Manager, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Work with various departments to ensure adherence to specifications and drawings.

Quality Inspector - Skills & Experience

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Positive, proactive attitude.
Proficient in computer skills and effective communication.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience in creating CMM programs is a plus.
