Description
- Manage and maintain stock levels to optimise sales
- Work closely with the buying team to forecast trends and manage inventory
- Create and implement merchandising plans and standards
- Analyse sales reports and market trends
- Ensure product presentation is consistent and in line with brand guidelines
- Identify potential supplier issues and propose solutions
- Coordinate with the retail department to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
Profile
A successful Merchandiser should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- Strong knowledge of merchandise planning principles and high numeracy levels
- Established merchandisert with WSSI planning and exposure to OTB
- Prior experience in an product planning role in a retail head office role
- Exceptional analytical and forecasting abilities within retail
- Proficiency in using retail software and inventory management systems
- Outstanding negotiation and communication skills
- A keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach
