Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor the commercial and estimating teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Prepare, monitor, and control budgets throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation of competitive, accurate estimates and tenders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project goals.
- Lead the management of contracts, including issuing variations, negotiating terms, and resolving disputes.
- Direct the procurement process, ensuring subcontractors and suppliers deliver cost-effective, high-quality services and materials.
- Oversee valuations and applications for payment, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Identify financial and operational risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them and safeguard project profitability.
- Work closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery and financial alignment.
- Produce and present detailed cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts to key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of commercial and estimating operations.
Quantity Surveyor
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or M&E sector.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and financial management principles.
- Conversant with NEC3, NEC4 and JCT suite of contracts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field (e.g., RICS-accredited degree or equivalent).
