Your new companyHays are currently working with a primary school in the Skelmersdale area, and they are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to come and join a great, supportive team. The school is looking for someone that is passionate about working with children and will also support someone if they are looking to develop in their career. This role will be starting after Easter through until Summer. Your new roleAs this will be a full-time role, you will be responsible for providing assistance on a 1:1 basis with a KS2 pupil. You must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupil, and you may be required to support in group settings. You will be responsible for monitoring the pupils' progress and provide feedback to the class teacher. As you will be working on a 1:1, you should be confident in supervising these pupils outside the classroom to create a calm and productive working environment.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children and, ideally, have previous experience supporting SEN children. You should feel confident working with children in a 1:1 setting as well as being friendly and enthusiastic.
