Location: SkelmersdaleSalary: £28,000 - £32,000Summary:At Bis Henderson, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a growing FMCG business based in Skelmersdale.As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the processes and a small team of individuals within the export operation. The successful candidate will drive best practice and continuous improvement within their area of responsibility, and will take a hands-on approach to guide and support their direct reports to achieve their full potential. As this role will involve international shipments, previous experience of international logistics / freight forwarding is desirable. However, training on this can be provided. This role is working Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Key Responsibilities:* Manage the despatch and shipping of goods within the export operation in line with relevant legislative requirements. * Ensure that all inventory is accounted for and stored correctly.* People management; motivating the team, organising workloads, briefing the team before shifts, conducting 1-2-1s and acting on any HR related requirements.* Proactively drive continuous improvement and lead change in line with business objectives. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health and safety regulations at all times.Key Skills/Experience:* At least 2 year's experience of managing a team within a FMCG logistics environment.* Previous experience working with international shipments / freight forwarding is desirable. * Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to manage, guide and support the team to achieve goals.* Able to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
