Production Manager (Nights) - Skelmersdale

Salary: £30,000 - £31,200
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Nights)

We are seeking a dedicated Production Manager to lead our night-shift team in Skelmersdale. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Staff: Oversee the production team to ensure high standards of productivity and service.
  • Process Adherence: Enforce SOPs to guarantee consistent and quality production.
  • Quality Control: Conduct routine quality checks, addressing any issues promptly to maintain our standards.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently delegate tasks and manage resources to streamline operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Managers and the QA team to uphold product safety and quality.
  • Product Storage: Ensure proper storage and monitoring of finished products.
  • Waste Management: Implement cost-effective waste processes for efficiency.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe production environment, adhering to GMP and Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Facility Upkeep: Oversee upkeep of changing facilities and locker room rules adherence.
  • Communication & Issue Resolution: Effectively report non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues.
  • Training & Development: Train and develop staff within the filling area, ensuring compliance and updated training records.
  • Management Reporting: Attend management meetings and relay critical feedback to staff.
  • Company Representation: Support audits and present the company professionally to external visitors.
  • Health & Safety: Strictly follow all Health & Safety rules, completing all required paperwork and checks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.
  • Understanding of SOPs, quality control, and health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
